OCIDE currently participates in projects involving all kind of partnerships in funding public infrastructures, from contracts with deferred payment to concession of public services, with or without works. The range of sectors varies from educational, cultural and social assistance centers, parking lots and toll roads operation and maintenance services for existing infrastructures, such as for urban roads or operating water treatment plants.
Concessional contracts are helping the growth of the Public Utilities Division thanks to the need for operation and maintenance services related to the construction of the infrastructures.
Presence in Spain
Despite the reduction of the state investment directly focused on the local Spanish Civil Services budget, OCIDE keeps its presence, trough its construction filial, in the regions of Castilla La Mancha, Aragon, Murcia, Madrid and Valencia.
Research and development
Our R&D department, created in 2007, undertakes special projects entailing the investigation of new materials and construction processes and systems, has reinforced its activity by ending projects already started in previous financial years.
The agreements with various Universities are kept. OCIDE is developing some investigation projects with regard to dumping treatment and special constructive building systems, thus qualifying as Technical Innovation for the project "Development of a novel technique for large diameter directional boring and pipe installation", and as Investigation for the project "Development and validation of a new wastewater treatment system with aeration", both of them granted by the Ministry of Industry.
In the water section, OCIDE focuses its R&D in optimizing the energetic efficiency of the processes of reverse osmosis desalination, the reuse and treatment technologies of wastewater, minimizing their costs and the environmental impact, the development of oxidation technology for the disposal of sludge produced in the process of purification of water and finally, the optimization of water infrastructure under considerations of sustainability for the entire water cycle.
